Rules reference

Card values. Number cards count their face value. Jacks, queens and kings count 10. An ace counts 11, or 1 if 11 would take the hand over 21.
Goal. Finish closer to 21 than the house without going over. Going over is a bust and loses the stake immediately.
House rule. The house must draw on 16 or less and must stand on every 17, including a soft 17 such as ace–six.
Natural 21. An ace with a ten-value card on the first two cards pays 3:2. If the house also holds one, it’s a push.
Double. On your first two cards you may double the stake and take exactly one more card.
Ties. Equal totals push and your stake is returned in full.

Win: 1:1
Natural: 3:2
